This form is signed by the plan administrator. If a representative of the plan, such as the actuary is filing for you, they will sign it.
Form 5558 is filed for
a one-time (per year) extension of time to file Forms 5500, 5500-EZ, or
5330. The 5558 extension form extends the time the filer has to file
their forms an extra 2˝ months from the original filing date. This form
is generally signed by whomever is filing the 5500 or 5500-ez form.
